Today at our first Lewis and Clark Celebration Assembly of the year, 132 third, fourth, and fifth grade students were recognized for meeting our first reading challenge.  They all read AT LEAST 4 KC3 or Mark Twain nominees by our October deadline.  In addition, they also received 10 extra book check out coupons to use when they wish.

Summer Reading Celebration!

Wow!  LC students spent their summer days reading great books:).  117 kiddos celebrated their summer reading with a huge ice cream party...check out the pics below.

Page Turner's Book Club Begins!

This morning was our first session of Page Turner's Bookclub.  Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade (and their siblings) flooded into the library to share their love of reading!  Check out the photos of LC readers enjoying great books.  If your child would like to join us and they are in 3rd-5th grade just have them stop in the library for another permission slip.

Back To School

I love coming back to a brand new school year.  So much has been planned and I look forward to us learning together. Tomorrow is our first day of school, be sure to stop in the library to drop off any books you still have from summer reading or summers school. Please remember to turn in your summer reading lists so you can join us at our first reading celebration.  The library is sporting a new theme again this year...the wild west awaits you.  Check out some pics!

Fundraising For Books!

Thank you to the LC families that donated books or money during our first annual S.O.S. donation program through Bound To Stay Bound book company.  LC Families and friends purchased 11books and donated another $145.00 that went toward the purchase of additional books. This is the first time we have participated in this donation program and were pleased with the results.  So once again, thank you Lewis and Clark community!
