Our First Birthday Book Of The 2012-2013 School Year!

Thank you to all the families who support our library each year by donating a birthday book to our library collection.  Your child will bring information home about the program during their birthday month.
Wow!  Our brains are working hard.   We are all getting used to using our new ipads.   Kindergarten and first graders are observing worms to see how they are different than insects.        Third and fourth graders are developing and evaluating questions to determine if they will help them answer our BIG essential question.

Storytelling Club is Coming!

Lewis and Clark 4th and 5th graders have the oppportunity to join a Storytelling Club this year.  Mr. Haynes (our very own Mrs. Haynes' husband) visited LC 4 days this week to share a story and tell the kids all about the club.  I can't wait to see and hear the kiddos learning and practicing their storytelling skills.  Thanks Mr. Haynes for giving your time to our students.

Summer Reading Celebration

Our annual summer reading celebration was held today to recognize all of the students who brought in their summer reading lists.  111 kiddos enjoyed ice cream sundaes in the library and they all left with 4 extra book coupons to use whenever they feel like 5 books is just not enough.  One lucky student left with a Nook reader!
