What is your favorite series of books and why?

My favorite series are The 39 Clues. They're actually written by different authors and the first is by Rick Riordan and the others I don't know. I reccomend the series to a lot of students.

My favorite series are the Twilight Series books, because I love Stephanie Meyer's books. They're really good page-turners! I recommend the Twilight series for 5th grade and up.

My favorite series of books are the Harry Potter series because there's magic, action, and adventure all combined in many very thick books. I reccomend this series to many Lewis and Clark students.

My favorite series books are Judy Moody. The series are written by Megan McDonald.I reccomend these books for all students.

One of my favorite series books are the SHILOH books because a boy does big things to save his dog!

My favorite series is Warriors because every page has somthing amazing or somthing that is unexpecting. I also love the awsome word chioce.

My favorite series is Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. This action packed series keeps the reader on it with a one, two punch every few minutes. I really like this book because Rick Riordan makes his books feel like you are in there with Percy and the gang fighting Kronos with Riptide, Have fun!!!!!!!

My favorite series of books are Andrew Clemets books. So far I read Lunch Money. I'm in the middle of The last Holiday Consert. So far it is great! After I get done with it I'm going to read The School Story.

My favorite series is the new one ...... Sisters 8!They are really good books and so unexpected stuff happens! I highly recomend this series!!!!!! 5 star rating!!!!!!!!!

My favorite series is the Beyond The the SpiderWick chronicles. Written by Holly black. It is a fun and adventurous.

I like The 39 Clues series because they are really good mysteries and you can try and solve them online, and I think it's cool that all the books (10 books)are by different authors the 1st one is by Rick Riordan and the others I don't know but they are going to come out with a 3rd book!!

I personally like The Mysterious Benedict Society. It's my 2nd favorite series. They are packed with a ton of adventure and fun challenges for the 4 kids to solve, Kate, Reynie, Sticky, and Constance.

My favorite series are the Nancy Drew mysteries by Carolyn Keene because mysteries are so fun to try to figure out and wonder what happens next! :)

Dash Fashion Show

Earlier this Spring, my 2nd graders added a little creative flair to our robotics unit...we decked Dash out in the latest fashions!  The kids put their designs on paper, created patterns out of newspaper, and then worked on their final projects.   What a fun way to end our robotics  study.

Adopt A Shelf

Each year the members of our Page Turner's book club adopt a shelf to take care of throughout the year.  The kids pick a shelf and we take a "shelfie" and post their photo on the shelf they claimed.  This group REALLY helps keep the shelves organized and looking good.  Plus each student gets to highlight the books from their shelf.

The Making Of An Elementary MakerSpace

So much has happened at Lewis and Clark since the end of May.  The library received a grant from the Liberty School District Foundation in the amount of nearly $8,000.00 to be spent on creating a MakerSpace.  Since being awarded that grant, my brain has not shut off.  I have been busy planning for great experiences, purchasing materials, and getting donations for our MakerSpace!
I knew that we needed a MakerSpace when I didn't have the resources my students needed and wanted during Genius Hour.  
Our MakerSpace will be located in the reading resource room in the library.  It will be very easy to access everything we need when we need it!  This is what the room has looked like at various stages during the summer months.

 Mrs. Carey and I relocated all the books in the picture below and our fabulous custodial staff has cleared out everything else.
